A child is a parent’s greatest gift. Being a parent involves different emotions. It comes with mixed feelings of excitement, fear, worry, and joy.

And this is how Andrea Bianca Martin Manzano Reyes, also known as “Andi Manzano,” remembered how meticulous she was about her first child. Manzano, a radio DJ, TV host, and actress was invited to an event called ‘Todo Tatag’, which uses enjoyable activities to teach kids the value of well-being.
‘Todo Tatag’ Playground and Erceflora Kiddie have partnered. A traveling bus designed by the team, the Batang Matatag Bus, serves to amuse and engage children. It really encourages the kids to be active and socially fit.
In addition, collaborative sessions led by Dr. Felizardo Gatcheco allowed parents to learn essential details about protecting their children’s safety and health.
The gathering took place at the Bonifacio High Street Amphitheater, BGC, last Saturday, March 11, 2023. During Manzano’s interview, she stated that she was so concerned about her newborn baby that every time she thinks of her unwashed baby, she touches its skin.
Manzano shared, “I remember when my first, I was like especially when they’re newly born right, especially when you can touch your baby if hindi pa nag wash or if di pa naligo. I was just more concerned about germs even when she was starting to walk, holding things, parang lahat na lang ng ginagalaw niya wipe. Then with my second baby, oh it’s okay. You can have little germs.”
She stated that when explaining to their children, parents must have a balance of both bacteria, good and bad. According to her, “You have to have a balance of both… It’s just teaching kids healthy habits like washing their hands.”
Manzano also shared that she told her kids to do whatever they wanted as long as healthy habits were always there.
She mentioned the top five things she would bring while hanging out with her kids since her family lives in the South. They had to be prepared for everything. They always brought with them their vitamins, wipes, extra clothing, snacks, and water. She explained that her kids are very sensitive. It’s like a change of weather for them. She said that’s why it is very imperative to always be prepared anytime.
