On March 28, Inspirational Diva Jamie Rivera recalled how the music label Inspire Music began.
At the media launch of Inspire Music and Rivera’s single, 3 in 1, which LionhearTV covered, Rivera recounted meeting with ABS-CBN Music Creative director Jonathan Manalo and ABS-CBN Music head Roxy Liquigan.
“Jonathan Manalo and Roxy Liquigan, nag-usap, nag-meeting kami, and then we’re just proposing one single, and then they thought that you’ve been in the industry for 35 years now, you’ve been with Star Music–Star Records pa non, you’ve been with them for 27 years. They said, ‘Jamie, it’s about time that you give back. Not give back, but to mentor others and to use what you’ve learned in those 27 years–in those 35 years, to impart to the younger generations what you’ve learned.’
“Although, I’ve been producing, mga year 2003, I’ve been producing inspirational songs already for Star Music, but this time it’s a different level. We made a new label called Inspire Music.”
Rivera clarified Inspire Music’s goal of inspiring every listener despite having different religious beliefs.
“And when you say Inspire Music–ito ‘yung tinatanong mong collaboration with ABS-CBN Music, hindi ‘to basta-basta, this is not about religion, this is about inspiring everybody, all people, from all sorts of life, all walks of life, to be inspired by the songs, by the lyrics, by the music that they will hear when they go under Inspire Label when they listen in the Inspire Label, which we will be going to later– ‘yung mga nasa playlist. When you hear it, yun ‘yung mga kanta na hindi naman siya religious, pero mai-inspire ka.”
She highlighted their goals of sharing their songs under the record label globally.
“My vision for Inspire Music, as the title dictates or says, is to Inspire people and for us to be able to distribute the songs on all platforms. Not only here, not only nationwide, but worldwide.
“Hindi lang para sa mga bata, but for every one, from all walks of life, for them to inspire and para sumikat din na pag nilagay nila sa Spotify, gusto nila ma-inspire, kasi di ba pag nilagay mo dun, Inspire, ang daming lumalabas na inspirational music, ang daming na-iinspire na mga tao. Pero kapag sinearch mo talaga doon, lalabas talaga ‘yung inspire, ‘yung playlist natin.”
Rivera takes on a new role as the head and creative consultant of ABS-CBN’s new music label, Inspire Music.
She produced the first song under the record label, 3 in 1, and performed it with Fabio Santos and Imogen.
As for the single, 3 in 1 is an upbeat song with a reggae vibe that talks about the joy of believing in God, three persons in one, referring to the Holy Trinity or God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Stream 3 in 1 digital music platforms starting Friday (March 31).
