The biggest duel in primetime TV has already begun; how did Voltes V: Legacy’s pilot episode fare in TV ratings vs. FPJ’s Batang Quiapo?
Based on preliminary overnight rating data from the Nielsen NUTAM People survey, ‘Voltes V: Legacy’ made a powerful debut on Monday, May 8. It scored 14.6 percent, 4.0 percent higher than FPJBQ’s 10.6 percent.
Online topics were also dominated by the Kapuso series. The hashtag #VoltesVLegacyTVPremiere is the top trending topic on Twitter Philippines with more than 30 thousand tweets.
Meanwhile, the Kantar Media survey showed a different result.
According to its May 8 rating result, Voltes V’s pilot episode missed beating FPJ’s ‘Batang Quiapo’.
‘Voltes V’ registered an 18.0 percent rating, 1 percent lower than FPJBQ’s 19.0 percent.
Live concurrent views also favored FPJBQ, as it registered a greater number of viewers than its Kapuso rival.
FPJBQ reached 278,271 peak live views, while ‘Voltes V: Legacy’ registered 38,407 peak live views.
