In a press conference held on June 8, the talented and promising newcomer Yukii Takahashi opened up about her humble beginnings and the unexpected turn of events that led to her discovery.
Takahashi’s rise to fame began on TikTok, where her dance videos caught the attention of viewers around the world. Sharing the story behind her discovery, she revealed “Nag-start po ako sa tiktok nung March 15, ang purpose ko lang po sa tiktok ay mag-lose weight medyo lumaki po ako kasi non dahil kain ako ng kain nung pandemic.”
“I was just dancing, blessing po na bigla po akong nagtrending, mayroon po akong manager dati na nakatulong din po para makilala ko yung cornerstone, soon po ako nagstart,” she added.
During the press conference, Takahashi was also asked if she had ever considered changing her stage name.
“I feel like it’s an advantage for me kasi wala naman pong other artist na same name at same surname as me, so I feel like it’s my own identity.”
When it comes to shaping her image in the industry, Takahashi aims to become a truly versatile artist.
“Gusto ko po talaga maging flexible artist pinangarap ko po na I can portray whatever the director or the script says about me.”
Yukii Takahashi can be seen on the hit prime series ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ where she is now a regular cast member. She plays the character of Camille, the love interest of Mccoy De Leon’s character.
