On August 3, actor Carlo Aquino revealed that he and his girlfriend, Charlie Dizon, have been discussing their future together.
At the media event for ‘Third World Romance,’ which LionhearTV covered, Aquino responded to the questions about him and Dizon settling down by stating, “Pinag-uusapan namin ‘yung future together.”
Dizon added, “Yeah, ‘yung goals, kung paano namin matutupad ‘yung goals namin.”
Aquino then asserted that the goal of having a relationship with a person was finding a life partner.
“‘Yung napag-uusapan namin, ‘yung future namin together. ‘Yung magkasama kami, kung magkakapamilya. Di ba kasi bakit kami umabot sa ganito di ba? Kahit sino naman ‘yun din naman ‘yung goal kapag nakikipag-relationship.”
Dizon said she’s not scared of getting into a more serious relationship with Aquino.
“Hindi po, actually noong nagsimula pa lang ‘to lahat. Sabi ko, parang nakalatag lahat ng goal. Nakalatag na agad na parang i-enter ko na ‘yung relationship pero kapag relationship, gusto ko serious agad. So kung hindi-hindi. Okay lang na hindi. Kaya siguro ‘yun naging parang from the start pa lang alam na namin na agad na dapat seryoso ‘to.”
When asked why they revealed their relationship, Aquino stated that disclosing their relationship status came naturally to them.
Para wala namang nag-decide, parang tinanong ninyo lang kami. Tapos sinabi na namin na we’re dating tapos kami na. Tapos nangyari lang siya naturally. Parang walang pumilit, kaya ganon, kaya magaan siguro sa loob namin.
Dizon then highlighted how it was their first time appearing as a couple in front of the press.
“Honestly, ngayon rin lang naman kami nagkaroon ng chance na lumabas together, na may press and kasama ‘yung (cast). Kumbaga sa entertainment world, lalabas kayo together kasi usually, magkakaiba kami ng projects. Ako rin naman hindi na-iinterview lately, parang kailan lang rin ako lumabas nitong movie at teleserye po namin. Pero ‘yun siguro, ngayon lang rin kami nag ka-chance na makita na.”
As for their upcoming film, ‘Third World Romance’ stars Aquino and Dizon.
The cast also features Esnyr, Xilhouete, NAIA Black, Iya Mina, and Lady Morgana.
Under the direction of Dwein Ruedas Baltazar, ‘Third World Romance’ premieres on August 12 as the capping film of Cinemalaya 2023. After that, they have a premiere night on August 15 and open in cinemas nationwide on August 16.
