In a recent interview, actress Bea Alonzo expressed her perspective on the idea of rekindling past romances with ex-boyfriends, using her role in the upcoming drama series ‘Love Before Sunrise’ as a reference.
The highly anticipated romance drama series is set to premiere on Monday, September 25, and features the stellar cast of Dennis Trillo and Bea Alonzo. They play characters who were once lovers and are reunited after many years apart.
In the series, both characters carry regrets from their past relationship and will reflect on cherished memories while exploring the “what-ifs” of their interrupted love story.
When asked if she would consider giving an ex-partner a second chance, Bea responded with candor, saying, “Unang una kasi, as me, as Bea, hindi naman ako magpapakasal tao na hindi ko kayang bigyan ng whole commitment ko. So siguro hindi mangyayari sa akin [‘yan]. Sana hindi naman ako subukan ni Lord, pero sa tingin ko, hindi ko na rin hahayaan ‘yung sarili ko pagdaanan pa ‘yun because I’m fully committed to this person.”
Dennis chimed in, stating, “Siguro tatanungin ko [ang sarili ko] kung worth it pa ba kung iri-risk ko ‘to. Kung talagang mahal ko siguro siya, kung ‘yun ‘yung magpapaligaya sa akin, baka ita-try ko. Pero kung hindi naman, magiging sakit lang siya sa ulo, ‘di ko na lang gagawin.”
‘Love Before Sunrise’ follows the narrative of two individuals whose lives took different paths, separating them for many years. When they cross paths once again, they will confront the “what-ifs” and unanswered questions from their past relationship.
‘Love Before Sunrise’ is a collaboration between the GMA Entertainment Group and Viu, a prominent pan-regional over-the-top (OTT) video streaming service.
