On September 18, GMA Network Entertainment Group Senior Vice President Lilybeth Rasonable and Viu Philippine’s Head of Content Partnerships Garlic Garcia hinted at more collaboration and projects between the two media companies.
During the ‘Love Before Sunrise’ Press Con at SM Megamall Cinema 2, which LionhearTV covered, Rasonable highlighted GMA Network and Viu’s fruitful content partnership and hoped they could work on more projects in the future.
“Sobrang mabuti. It has been our third partnership, the third partnership between GMA [Network] and Viu. And we’ve made a lot of good content so far, and we hope [that] it will continue because it has been a really, really good partnership.”
She then discussed the hard work GMA Network and Viu put into their upcoming project, ‘Love Before Sunrise.’
“‘Yung Love Before Sunrise, it’s a very intimate love story– [an intimate] family drama that gets complicated [somewhere] along the way.
“But it’s really a small cast, as you can see. But– so kailangan talaga dito ‘yung mga artista, mahuhusay kasi the lines here–they really have to come across. Kailangan–it’s a very emotional love story. So we felt that we really had to have two of the best actors in the industry for this project. That’s why it’s both perfect for Dennis and Bea.”
Garcia praised GMA Network’s commitment to their content and how they care for their cast and crew.
“So, 2023 has been such a [great] year for Viu and GMA. It has been such an honor partnering with the Kapuso because you really give your heart in everything [that] you do. It’s not just in the content, but in [the way] you run your sets. It’s in the way you interact with the actors, and it’s in the excellence that you bring to the screen.”
She also lauded the production of ‘Love Before Sunrise,’ noting how GMA Network elevates their content.
“With your team, it’s [such] an honor to do Love Before Sunrise with you because we see and appreciate the elevation in the content. There is–we [see] the push–we [see] the effort to [not only] speak to a TV audience, but also to a streaming audience. And, what you delivered with this show, what a gift– it cuts across the screen.”
She also confirmed Viu Philippines’ future collaborations with GMA Network.
“This is just the first with the GMA Entertainment Group–more to come as we have a lot of other things in the pipeline.”
