An enchanting Friday night of classic OPM (Original Pilipino Music) hits awaits guests at Rey Valera’s sold-out live performance on September 15, 9:30 pm at CenterPlay, City of Dreams Manila’s contemporary entertainment bar, snacks and cocktail lounge built around the stage. It is situated at the focal point of the main gaming floor.
Valera’s show kicks off CenterPlay’s concert series featuring top local performers. Higher Ground band and DJs will also perform alternately from 8:00 pm to 1:30 am on the same night.
The renowned singer-songwriter, regarded as one of the pillars of OPM, will serenade patrons with his timeless tunes from the 70s to 80s, “Walang Kapalit”, “Kung Kailangan Mo Ako”, “Maging Sino Ka Man”, “Malayo Pa Ang Umaga”, “Sa Sandaling Kailangan Mo Ako”,
“Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo”, and “Kumusta Ka.” He is anticipated to perform his compositions that were popularized by Rico Puno: “Sorry Na, Puede Ba”, Pol Enriquez: “Ayoko Na Sa’Yo”, and Sharon Cuneta: “Mr. DJ” and “Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko,” among others.
The multi-talented balladeer is also a Music Director, Film Scorer and Television Host. He was a former Head Judge of the singing contest “Sing Galing” and “Tawag ng Tanghalan” in a variety noontime show “It’s Showtime”.
While enjoying the live entertainment, revelers partake of CenterPlay’s light meals, signature cocktail concoctions, beers, wines, and juices.
