Fresh from the success of her Viva One series The Rain in España, which also aired on TV5, young leading lady on the rise Heaven Peralejo is gaining much recognition for her acting, both from local and international award-giving bodies.
With her upcoming birthday this November, Heaven has a lot to be thankful for. She has received several nominations for her acting capabilities particularly for Best Actress in Nanahimik ang Gabi in the 22nd Metro Manila Film Festival Gabi ng Parangal and for Best Actress in Bagong Umaga from the 35th PMPC Star Awards for TV.
But it was her win in the Film Academy of the Philippines 39th Luna Awards for Best Actress in Nanahimik ang Gabi that Heaven’s acting prowess was solidified. The Luna Awards is considered to be the counterpart of the Oscars in the Philippines.
International award-giving bodies are also taking notice of Heaven. Her latest win in the Asian Academy Creative Awards as the Best Actress in a Leading Role National Winner for the Philippines for Nanahimik ang Gabi is something that Filipinos should be proud of.
The Asian Academy Creative Awards is Asia Pacific’s most prestigious award for creative excellence. Come December of this year all National Winners, including Heaven, will be invited to Singapore for the Grand Awards and Gala, where Heaven will be competing with other National Winners for the same category from Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and the Philippines.
Heaven’s win as the National Winner for the Philippines is already a great honor and her Viva family wishes her the best of luck in the Grand Awards.
In the coming months fans better stay tuned for Heaven’s return in the second season of The University Series, the follow-up for The Rain in España–Safe Skies, Archer. She is also part of the upcoming Philippine adaptation of the hit South Korean movie, Sunny.
With more projects lined up with her, Heaven’s string of acting nominations and awards will definitely not stop and fans have a lot more to watch out for.
