On October 4, Kapamilya actress Julia Montes highlighted her upcoming projects for 2024.
At the media event for ‘Five Break Ups and A Romance,’ which LionhearTV covered, Montes revealed that she would have an upcoming project after her movie with Alden Richards.
“Abangan po for next year, this film really made me realize na ang sarap talagang mag-work at ang sarap talagang gumawa ng kwento at mag-kwento sa tao so yes po.”
As for her current film, Montes acknowledged the feeling of pressure as she returned to acting, especially in movies.
“Sa pressure part po, ever since po kasi, parang lumaki na ko na puro pressure, hindi nawawala po ‘yung pressure, pero with this project, siguro with this project, it’s more of a happy pressure. Because, hindi lang po sa amin as actors, with Direk, the whole team really did a great job.
“And off-cam, ‘yung hindi nakikita ng audience, is really commendable, hindi ko pa siya na-eexperience sa iba na this time, wala akong makitang butas while doing this film. The whole experience, nakaka-spoil, na parang napre-pressure ako na anong gagawin kong next kasi hindi nga po ako laging tumatanggap.”
She then recounted how she accepted the offer for the ‘Five Break Ups and A Romance’ despite feeling the pressure.
“But this film, really kinausap ‘yung puso ko na, ‘Tanggapin mo ‘to Juls.’ And kung sila naniniwala sila sayo, subukan mo ring maniwala sayo. So ‘yun talaga ‘yung big take away with this film. Ang daming learnings and it’s really a journey.
“‘Yung pressure, definitely laging nandiyan, pero I know po kasi talaga na nandito po ako sa industry na hindi ako sikat, hindi po ako madaming fans or whatsoever, pero I love this job and it’s really a passion na sa akin.
“And ang sarap sa pakiramdam na nagagampanan mo ‘yung role tapos na-appreciate ng tao. So ‘yun palang, big reward na sa akin ‘yung happiness na ‘yun.”
