On September 20, Diamond Star Maricel Soriano remarked she didn’t mind accepting her role in the afternoon teleserye, ‘Pira-Pirasong Paraiso.’
At the media event for ‘Pira-Pirasong Paraiso,’ which LionhearTV covered, Soriano highlighted how excited she felt about getting her role in the afternoon teleserye.
“Yes, game na game ako noon. Sabi ko, ‘Ha? Talaga? Ay, ‘yung Tatlong bata– ‘Yung apat na bata?’ Basta bata sila. Sabi ko, ‘Ay exciting ‘yan, gusto ko yan.'”
She also noted that she didn’t mind the afternoon timeslot because she valued the story of the teleserye.
“Wala naman ‘yun doon sa oras ‘yun, di ba? Nasa istorya, nasa papaano tinerehe, hindi ba?”
She explained why she began accepting projects again after her time off-screen.
“Kasi dati, ‘Hindi, hindi, okay lang. Ay hindi, wag ngayon. Wag ngayon.’ May ganon. May stage ako na ganon, na ayaw ko na hindi ko pa maramdaman eh. Sabi ko, kapag naramdaman ko ‘to, tuloy-tuloy tayo. Kaya na nga.
“Parang ganon, parang ang hirap magsabi ng no, pero lalo na kung ang ganda ng project, di ba? Parang sa utak ko pa lang, naglalaro na eh. ‘Yung ganon.”
She also expressed interest in doing ‘bida-kontrabida’ roles in future projects.
“Gusto ko naman ng parang ano– parang Bida-Kontrabida, para maiba lang. Hindi iba ‘yun eh, kailangan mas bad, pero kailangan may redeeming factor. Kailangan may rason bakit, anong rason ‘yan bakit ganon.”
As for the series, the Diamond Star joins the cast of ‘Pira-Pirasong Paraiso’ for the series’ new season.
The teleserye features Elisse Joson, Loisa Andalio, Alexa Ilacad, and Charlie Dizon.
The cast includes Joseph Marco, Ronnie Alonte, KD Estrada, Markus Paterson, Sunshine Dizon, Art Acuña, Epy Quizon, and Snooky Serna.
Catch the new season of ‘Pira-Pirasong Paraiso,’ under the direction of Raymund B Ocampo, airs from Monday through Friday at 3 PM and on Saturdays at 2:30 PM, via Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5, Kapamilya Online Live, iWantTFC, and TFC.
