Ricci Rivero recently addressed an online critic who had targeted his family in the midst of an ongoing public issue.
Rivero had been making headlines due to his relationship with beauty queen and politician Leren Mae Bautista.
Controversy surrounded the couple when they were initially accused of a third-party involvement during Rivero’s prior relationship with Andrea. These allegations were strongly denied by both Rivero and Bautista, but it nevertheless generated significant attention.
After several months, they officially confirmed their relationship, putting an end to the speculation.
Rivero’s parents also decided to speak out about the ongoing situation. They expressed their frustration as their son had become the target of substantial criticism following the revelation of his new relationship.
What led to the recent confrontation was the Rivero family’s consistent inclusion of religious references, mentioning God, and sharing Bible verses in their social media posts. In response, Ricci Rivero decided to share a screenshot of the comment and publicly address the critic. He challenged the comment by saying, “If you think wishing death for my family makes you noble, I think your fascination with showbiz needs some serious reflection, Mr. Magna Cum Laude of PUP.”
Furthermore, he disclosed the social media accounts of the netizen on Facebook and Instagram.
Notably, Rivero recently revealed his side of the story to DJ JhaiHo. He disclosed that Andrea had attempted to reconcile with him on several occasions, but he turned down her advances. He shared that he did not openly declare his single status to avoid sparking further controversy. Andrea, on the other hand, has opted to remain silent regarding Rivero’s recent statements.
