For the first time since ABS-CBN shutdown, all Kapamilya dramas on primetime have won their bouts in the ratings game.
FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, Can’t Buy Me Love, and Senior High, ruled their respective timeslots in the ratings game, yesterday, November 27.Data from ratings provider, Nielsen Philippines, reveal all Kapamilya dramas airing on the highly-coveted time block, trumped their counterpart Kapuso shows, in the same-timeslot arena.
Coco Martin-led FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, remains the most watched entertainment program on local television, with a 15.3 people rating registered last Monday, November 27. The Kapamilya action-drama widened its lead over its rival Kapuso show, Black Rider, which managed a 9.5 people rating on the same timeslot. The Ruru Madrid-starrer notably has a delayed telecast on GTV, but does not go head-to-head with Batang Quiapo. Martin keeps his advantage over Madrid in the ratings game, even if the people rating generated from the delayed telecast is added to the regular telecast. Batang Quiapo still wins, 15.3 to 11.7.
Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano a.k.a. DonBelle’s Can’t Buy Me Love has been in tough competition with Dennis Trillo and Bea Alonzo’s Love Before Sunrise, for weeks, but yesterday, it claimed leadership on its timeslot, posting a 7.7 people rating against 7.3.
After pulling off a timeslot victory last Friday, November 24, Senior High, duplicated the feat with a 4.5 people rating, ahead of Lovers/Liars’ 4.1. This is the first time the Andrea Brillantes-led series, won its bout against the new Kapuso series.
Also, it should not be missed that the Asianovela slot (last on primetime) also belongs to ABS-CBN. After fending off outgoing show, Poong, last Friday, The World of A Married Couple repeated its win on Monday, November 27, but this time with a new rival Kapuso show, Queen of Masks. Data from Nielsen Philippines, the Kapamilya Asianovela remains a time slot leader, 2.0 to 1.8.
