GMA Network’s award-winning flagship radio stations Super Radyo DZBB 594 and Barangay LS 97.1 Forever continue to be the top choice for Mega Manila listeners.
Data from the Nielsen Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) show that for the month of October, Super Radyo DZBB 594 and Barangay LS 97.1 ruled the airwaves in Mega Manila.
DZBB reached a total audience share of 24.1 percent, ahead of closest competition DZRH’s 23.6 percent.
DZBB’s morning block dominated the station’s highest-rating daypart with programs “Pinoy MD,” “Super Balita sa Umaga,” “Buena Manong Balita,” “Bangon na Bayan,” and “Executive Summary.”
Meanwhile, Barangay LS 97.1 led the FM category by a wide margin, posting a 43.9 percent total audience share as against Love Radio 90.7’s 16.1 percent at the second spot. Highly-rated “Barangay Love Stories,” “Talk to Papa,” “Forever Request,” and “Song Book” remain popular programs to listeners.
Besides ruling the airwaves, GMA’s radio stations also received various recognitions in October.
For the 45th Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA), DZBB’s “Sumasapuso” hosted by Toni Aquino was announced Best Drama Program.”Dobol Weng sa Dobol B,” hosted by the duo of Weng Salvacion and Weng dela Peña won for Best News Commentary.
Receiving a Special Citation was “DZBB Super Serbisyo: Trabaho at Negosyo” hosted by Norilyn Temblor and Tootie. Barangay LS 97.1’s “Barangay Love Stories” also received a Special Citation by the CMMA. The winners of this year’s CMMA will be awarded on November 23.
Barangay LS 97.1 also scored a win at the Philippine Choice Awards where “Barangay Love Stories” host Papa Dudut was awarded Best Male Radio DJ of the Year.
