Brillantes, who recently expressed admiration for Fil-Am singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo on her social media, became a focal point for KathNiel fans who speculated her involvement in the celebrity couple’s split.
The rumors linking Brillantes to Padilla surfaced after showbiz writer Ogie Diaz mentioned her in connection with the singer-actor in a vlog on November 8.
Diaz clarified in a subsequent vlog that he did not initiate the rumors but was reporting on the ongoing talk within showbiz circles, expressing hope that the speculations were untrue.
The actress gained attention when both Bernardo and Brillantes unfollowed each other on Instagram earlier in the month.
Brillantes, sharing her top songs on Spotify Wrapped, included tracks from Rodrigo’s 2023 album ‘Guts’ and expressed her love for the artist.
