On February 13, licensed pharmacist and content creator Arshie Larga reacted to becoming the first pharmacist to endorse Bactidol.
At the launch of Bactidol’s TV Commercial and newest brand ambassador, which LionhearTV covered, Larga felt surprised after receiving the endorsement offer from the medicine brand.
“Share ko lang po sa inyo, noong unang time ko po na nag-reach out sila sa akin, na they want me to be the face of Bactidol, sabi ko, ‘Parang, seryoso po ba kayo?’ Kasi, most of the time, aminin na po natin, nakikita po natin lahat sa mga advertisement, puro mga doctors ‘yung kinukuha nila.”
However, he saw the brand endorsement as an opportunity to represent pharmacists.
“Pero sino ba naman pinaka magandang person or health care professional na magsabi ng information about sa isang gamot kung hindi ‘yung mga pharmacists. Kasi po, pharmacists po ay considered as drug experts.
“Ang nakakasad nga lang po dito sa ating– dito sa Pilipinas, ang tingin lang po sa ating mga pharmacists ay mga taga benta ng gamot.”
He recounted his goal of educating the public about pharmacists when he began creating content on social media.
“At ‘yun po, isang goal ko po kung bakit ako nag-start mag-content create is gusto ko po mabago ‘yung perception ng mga tao sa aming pharmacists na hindi lamang po ‘yung trabaho namin na taga benta ng gamot.
“Parte lang po ‘yun ng trabaho namin pero pagdating po sa trabaho and drug information, and counselling, pwede rin po kaming mag offer ng mga ganong services. Ng sa ganon po, ‘yung mga patients po namin or mga customers po namin ay naga-guide po namin sa tamang pag-inom ng gamot.”
He then thanked Bactidol for giving him the opportunity to represent other pharmacists in the Philippines with a trusted brand.
“Kaya again, maraming salamat sa Bactidol for this opportunity and nakakatuwa naman po ‘yung mga response na nakuha ko sa mga followers ko at sa mga taong– sa mga kapwa ko pharmacists na finally, nagkaroon ng representation ang mga pharmacists sa ganitong field. Kaya I’m very thankful for this opportunity.”
