On February 6, actor Enrique Gil hoped that Lisa Frankenstein would be the start of Liza Soberano’s Hollywood career.
At the advance screening event for Lisa Frankenstein, which LionhearTV attended, Gil said it has always been a dream of Soberano to become a Hollywood actress.
“I hope so, you know, this is her dream. Whatever she wants in life, and if this is her dream, I’m all for it.”
He then noted how he avidly follows Soberano’s career, especially with the red-carpet premiere of her horror-comedy movie.
“We’re happy for Liza. It’s always been my dream to be her living her dreams, and it means so much to me. I’m so proud of her.
“I have, I have, I have been following Stanley, he’s big friend, [his] a photographer in Hollywood, so he’s been sending me the photos of them. And I’m [so happy] –I can’t believe it.”
He recounted going to New Orleans, USA, to be there for Soberano during the filming of Lisa Frankenstein.
“We–we’re just there in New Orleans, shooting for her film, and just to be here now for the premiere night. It just doesn’t feel real.”
Gil attested that he has always supported Soberano since day one.
“I’ve always been a supporter ever since day one. So, sabi ko talaga, till I die, I would always support her.”
Lisa Frankenstein stars Kathryn Newton, Cole Sprouse, Liza Soberano, and Carla Gugino.
Under the direction of Zelda Williams and written by Diablo Codi, the horror-comedy opens in Philippine cinemas this February 7.
