On February 7, actor-comedian Pepe Herrera attested to Enrique Gil’s love and care for Liza Soberano.
At a media conference at the Limbaga 77 Cafe, which LionhearTV covered, Herrera addressed questions about the status of Gil and Soberano’s relationship.
He noted Gil’s concern for Soberano despite reports that the former love team and couple have already broken up.
“Hindi, hindi siya naka-affect, kasi nakikita ko ‘yung love and concern niya for Liza na he’s very proud sa mga naa-achieve ni Liza ngayon, lalo na ngayon, Lisa Frankenstein. He has nothing but good things to say about Liza.”
In 2023, reports surfaced about Gil and Soberano’s break after eight years of relationship, following an interview with the Lisa Frankenstein star.
He remarked that the cast of I’m Not Big Bird would only believe what Gil tells them regarding the actual status of his relationship with Soberano.
“So, kung anong sabihin niya sa amin, tinatanggap namin at napapansin ko naman na hindi nakaka-apekto sa trabaho niya.”
Herrera also pointed out how blooming Gil was while working on their adventure-comedy film, alluding to the positive state of the Kapamilya actor’s heart.
“Ano nga siya eh, blooming nga si Enrique, sa observation ko lang. He’s doing good.
“For me, of course, kung ano ‘yung sabihin niya sa amin paniniwalaan namin.”
As for the upcoming adventure-comedy movie, I’m Not Big Bird stars Enrique Gil, Nikko Natividad, Pepe Herrera, and Red Ollero.
Under the direction of Victor Villanueva and a story written by Lilit Reyes and Joma Labayen, I’m Not Big Bird opens in cinemas starting February 14.
