Amid speculations circulating online regarding a possible fallout between actress Francine Diaz and singer Jayda Avanzado, Avanzado recently addressed the issue during an interview on the program ‘Cristy Ferminute.’
The conversation, hosted by Cristy Fermin and Romel Chika on 92.3 Radyo 5 TRUE FM, delved into the status of Avanzado’s relationship with Diaz.
Avanzado revealed that she and Diaz have not been in communication for some time, hinting at past disagreements or misunderstandings between them.
“Sige po ‘Nay para sa pagpapakatotoo po, matagal na rin pong hindi kami nag-uusap ni Francine, siguro po ang huli ay nu’ng birthday niya na binati ko siya in private. And magiging honest po ako na may mga nangyari po na hindi pagkakaunawaan sa aming dalawa or nagkaroon po ng disagreement,” Jayda answered.
The discussion took a more focused turn when Fermin raised a specific incident where Avanzado reportedly posed for a photo with actress Andrea Brillantes, allegedly sparking a strong reaction from Diaz. Avanzado confirmed the incident but chose not to delve into details, stressing the importance of maintaining respect within the industry.
“Well, totoo naman po na nagkasama kami ni Blythe sa isang party saka parang nagkataon lang din po talaga kasi co-host po siya ng party na iyon at nag-picture naman po talaga kami kasi maliit lang naman po ang mundo ng showbiz. Ganito na lang po ‘Nay, siguro in respect to the events na nangyari po, sa ngayon po hindi ko na po ie-elaborate po ang mga detalye. Ito na lang po ang sasabihin ko, yung picture namin ni Blythe na I would just really say na importante sa akin na nakikisama po ako sa lahat ng tao sa industriya.“
She added, “Aaminin ko po na nagkaroon po ako ng konting backlash sa post na ‘yun na nagsama po kami (sa picture ni Blythe) pero para po sa akin pinalaki po ako ng magulang ko po na dapat may respeto po ako sa lahat ng tao na nakikilala ko po sa industriya and lalo na po sa akin kung si Blythe man po ay nagpapakita ng maganda o okay na pagtrato sa akin.”
Avanzado’s composed responses earned praise from the hosts for her maturity and diplomacy in handling the situation.
Regarding Diaz’s reported reaction at the party, Avanzado remained diplomatic, refraining from further comment and expressing her desire to maintain neutrality.
Ultimately, Avanzado expressed her hopes for reconciliation with Diaz and wished her well, indicating a willingness to move forward amicably.
“We are civil now and I wish her well,” said Jayda.
