Julia Barretto has stirred controversy by seemingly admitting to being the third party in the breakup between Gerald Anderson and Bea Alonzo.
During a recent episode of Toni Gonzaga’s vlog, ‘Toni Talks,’ on April 26, Julia hinted that she and Gerald were not yet together when the controversy surrounding the actor and Bea surfaced. However, she also mentioned that they have been in a relationship for five years now, as of 2024.
This revelation has led some netizens to speculate that Julia and Gerald became romantically involved between January and April 2019.

The controversy dates back to July 2019 when Bea began posting cryptic messages on Instagram, hinting at issues in her relationship with Gerald.
Two years later, Bea publicly revealed that Gerald had ghosted and cheated on her.
It was also in 2021 when Gerald confirmed his relationship with Julia.
Julia, on the other hand, acknowledged her role in the controversy, admitting, “May naging role ako in somebody else’s pain and other people’s pain. Same way that they also contributed to my pain but I think you know na okay ka na when you already acknowledge na I have a role in this. Baka may shortcoming din naman talaga ako. Baka I really did something that hurts somebody. Siyempre it sad when you think like, baka nakasakit din ako talaga ng tao.”
When asked by Toni how she healed from the situation, Julia emphasized, “I took accountability. Hindi naman puwedeng everybody just hurt me. I’m sure there’s some people that I hurt along the way.”
