David Licauco and Barbie Forteza faced candid questions about their potential real-life romance during their press conference on June 20 at Plaza Ibarra, Tomas Morato, Quezon City.
The showbiz press was eager to delve into their personal feelings for each other, beyond their on-screen chemistry.
One of the most direct questions was aimed at David, asking if he ever wished he and Barbie were a couple in real life.
“I think… kasi ‘di ba, kapag may ka-work ka, may love team ka, you think it’s easier, since tayo ang magkasama, nasa eksena kayo, nasa teleserye kayo, meron kayong endorsements, maiisip mo talaga, mas madali siguro `yung ganun (na magdyowa kayo),” David began, initially hesitant.
However, when pressed for a straightforward answer, David admitted, “Oo naman! Oo naman!”
He then passed the question to Barbie, who humorously deflected, “Iba ang tanong sa akin.”
When asked if she would consider falling for David if her current boyfriend, Jak Roberto, wasn’t in the picture, Barbie responded thoughtfully, “I think… mahirap nga siyang sagutin, ha! Whoooo!”
“But para sa akin, sige, sesegundahan ko si David. Mas madali siguro ang trabaho namin as love team kung kami talaga sa totoong buhay. Pero siguro, malaking bagay na we built this very strong friendship, within the love team, within the partnership, kaya hindi na rin ganun kahirap for the both of us to work together.
“And to answer your question, na kung single ako, at kung may possibility ba? Sino ang makakapagsabi, di ba? Siguro, tanungin niyo na lang ako when we get there. Kasi sa ngayon, I don’t think I have the right answer!” Barbie concluded.
