Kapuso actress Nadine Samonte has publicly addressed the recent controversy surrounding her exclusion from the guest list at the GMA Gala 2024.
The issue gained attention following a viral post by her stylist, Keith Manila, who expressed frustration over Nadine’s name not being on the official guest list.
Contrary to initial speculations, Nadine confirmed that she did attend the event despite her name not being listed. However, she was seated far from the main activities, feeling isolated despite recognizing some familiar faces.
In a video message sent to Ogie Diaz, Nadine shared her experience. She mentioned that upon arriving from her hotel room, she discovered her name was missing from the guest list. This came as a shock since she had confirmed her attendance and received an invitation.
Nadine expressed her disappointment, revealing that she had spent a year preparing for the event. This included booking a hotel room and coordinating with her team for video presentations and styling. She was particularly hurt as she had eagerly anticipated the event, only to face this setback.
“Masama lang talaga loob ko Tito Ogie pero it’s okay, I’m thankful naman sa GMA kasi kahit papaano naiinvite ako sa ganitong malaking event talaga na once a year and I’m thankful also na meron akong bagong show with them…,” Nadine said. “I hope the production will be more vigilant.”
Despite her frustration, Nadine remained grateful for the invitation and the opportunities provided by GMA Network. She hopes for better vigilance from the production team in the future to prevent similar issues.
GMA Network and Sparkle GMA Artist Center have yet to release an official statement regarding the incident. Balita remains open to their side of the story.
