The star-studded Kapuso historical series seems to be also losing its grip on Netflix viewers.
Pulang Araw further slides in Netflix Philippines most streamed TV series September 6 chart. After falling to fourth place, the series now has exited Top 5, and fell to sixth place, its lowest since debut.
Not to undermine its current Netflix ranking, as many were not able to maintain placement in the top 10. Pulang Araw has been notably consistenly in the Top 10, since its July 26 premiere. Nevertheless, some see its continuous downward movement in the ranking, a sign of its weakening digital audience. Pulang Araw has been extremely struggling in the ratings game, sustaining an average of 9-10 point lead by its rival series, FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.
The much-hyped first appearance of Dennis Trillo’s character in the Kapuso series, notably did not help the series improve in viewership. Similarly, the higlhly-promoted war scenes, did not impress.
Pulang Araw’s fate is seen a reversal of the strong performance being currently pulled off by Kapamilya drama, Lavender Fields.
The series, topbilled by Jodi Sta. Maria, Janine Gutierrez, and Jericho Rosales, has been consistently topping the ratings game. More spectacularly, it has extended its number one streak on Netflix, for five straight days, pushing Pulang Araw, outside the Top 5.
