Actor Archie Alemania is refuting allegations of misconduct made by Kapuso actress Rita Daniela, who recently filed a complaint against him for acts of lasciviousness.
Daniela claims that Alemania acted inappropriately towards her, making advances and lewd remarks during a September 9 event hosted by their ‘Widows’ War’ co-star Bea Alonzo in Quezon City.
In her complaint affidavit, Daniela shared that it was challenging for her to take legal action, given her status as a public figure. However, she felt compelled to proceed, citing the emotional distress caused by the incident.
On her online show ‘Showbiz Now Na,’ veteran journalist Cristy Fermin shared insights from a conversation with Alemania, who firmly denied the allegations. According to Fermin, Alemania insisted that no inappropriate behavior occurred and that his interactions with Daniela were purely cordial.
Fermin also revealed that Alemania’s legal team is preparing a counter-affidavit in response to Daniela’s claims. Alemania reportedly described a different encounter, alleging that Daniela had approached him at the party, tearfully expressing her feelings of being excluded by others.
“Umiiyak pa si Rita, lumapit pa kay Archie itong si Rita at sabi Kuya, ayoko nang mag-attend pa ng ganitong party kasi parang pinagkakaisahan naman nila ako,” Fermin shared.
Alemania said he offered her advice, reassuring her and encouraging her to join in with the group.
“Ang sabi ni Archie, hindi ka pinagkakaisahan, sinasabihan ka lang para matuto kang maki-join sa kanila,” Fermin recounted from her conversation with Alemania. “So ang tanong ni Archie, kung talagang binabastos ko siya ba’t siya sa akin lumapit para magsumbong.”
“Nagpaliwanag siya, lahat po ng kwentong ‘yan ay hindi nangyari. Hindi po totoo yan,” she added.
Fermin clarified that she remains impartial, aiming only to provide both sides of the story. “Wala po kaming victim blaming dito ha, binabalanse lang namin ang mga kuwento tutal naman naglantad na si Rita doon sa sinumpaan niyang salaysay,” Fermin said.
