Mentorque Productions has unveiled its latest film, ‘Uninvited,’ as a standout entry in the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
The grand media launch held at Solaire North dazzled attendees, with many praising it as a level up from the studio’s previous premiere for Mallari.
In his speech, Diamante emphasized the journey of creating ‘Uninvited’ and the commitment of everyone involved. He expressed gratitude to the MMFF, industry stakeholders, media partners, and supporters for their contributions to the project.
“Uninvited is a film that we believe will open hearts and provoke thought,” Diamante said. “It’s not just about elevating Filipino Cinema, but elevating Filipino sensitivity and understanding the world we never dared to explore.”
‘Uninvited’ brings together a powerhouse cast: Vilma Santos, the Star for All Seasons; Aga Muhlach, celebrated for his heartfelt performances; and Nadine Lustre, known for her dynamic energy and compelling presence. The film’s creative force includes director Dan Villegas, supported by producers Antoinette Jadaone and Irene Villamor, who brought their unique storytelling expertise to the project.
Diamante extended special thanks to Warner Bros. Philippines, led by Rico Gonzales, and Viva’s Boss Vic and Boss Vincent for trusting Mentorque with their stars and resources. He also teased plans for a potential international collaboration.
Diamante’s speech underscored the significance of media, vloggers, and influencers in amplifying the reach of Filipino cinema. He emphasized ‘Uninvited’s’ potential to resonate with both local and international audiences.
“Ang Uninvited ay pelikulang hindi ka mahihiyang ipaglaban at ipagmalaki,” he declared.
‘Uninvited’ is set to premiere on December 25, 2024, as part of the MMFF. With its stellar cast, compelling themes, and visionary execution, it is poised to be one of the festival’s most talked-about entries.
Diamante concluded with a bold statement, urging moviegoers to experience the film firsthand: “Kung hindi mo ito napanood, hindi ka belong sa mga Uninvited.”
