Here are the highlights of the new Galaxy Buds3 Pro in terms of mobility, multitasking, and personalized audio experience:
Design
The earbuds, available in White and Silver can be easily checked while in their case, even when it is closed. We had the chance to use the silver model and found it aesthetically beautiful with its iconic design and blade lights. The earbuds feel lighter since they touch less of the ear, with most of the mass hanging in the stem. Each earbud weighs only 5.4 grams, while the case weighs 46.5 grams.
Ambient and Adaptive Modes
Previously, we had to lower the volume or remove an earbud to hear when someone was speaking in the background or when attention-grabbing sounds like sirens or alarms needed to be noticed. The Galaxy Buds3 Pro identifies these sounds and makes adjustments so that even while on calls or listening to music, we can remain alert to our surroundings.
This is part of the Adaptive Noise Control feature, which assesses and reduces unwanted external noise, helping us stay focused on calls or daily routines while recognizing important sounds. The earbuds can detect voices and alarms, such as sirens and bells, and automatically switch between ANC and Ambient modes as needed.
With Samsung’s 360 Audio technology, the earbuds deliver cleaner, brighter sound with well-defined bass, allowing for clear conversations, immersive audio for streaming apps, and enhanced gaming experiences across Samsung devices.
The Galaxy AI Technology
The most significant breakthrough of the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro is its real-time interpreter feature, which uses Galaxy AI to translate conversations in real time.
It includes a Listening Mode, which allows users to continuously interpret as a speaker talks. There is also a Conversation Mode, where users can utilize their latest Samsung Galaxy smartphone by positioning the phone’s microphone toward the speaker and briefly pressing the earbuds to hear the real-time translation.
Additionally, the Translation Display Mode shows the translated text on the user’s Samsung Galaxy smartphone.
Currently, the Interpreter feature is only available on the Galaxy Buds3 series and requires a Samsung Galaxy smartphone. Certain languages may require a language pack download, and Filipino regional languages such as Cebuano, Ilocano, and Tagalog are not yet included in the feature.
Samsung promises up to 7 hours of playback per charge and 30 hours with the case when ANC is off, and up to 6 hours per charge and 26 hours with the case when ANC is on.
