Speculation has reignited about the status of Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo’s relationship after showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin claimed that the actor’s car has been spotted multiple times circling the subdivision where Kathryn resides.
“Ilang gabi na raw po nitong nakaraang linggo na nakikita ang sasakyan ni Daniel Padilla na paikot-ikot sa subdivision kung saan nakatira ang mga Bernardo… sina Kathryn,” Fermin revealed during the January 17 episode of ‘Showbiz Now Na’.
According to Fermin, Daniel appears to be looking for someone who could mediate between him and his former long-time partner, Kathryn.
“Ang balita pa, humahanap talaga ng tao na makapagtutulay si Daniel para sa kanila ni Kathryn,” Fermin added.
This development comes weeks after another revelation from showbiz insider Ogie Diaz, who reported that Daniel and Kathryn had a private conversation backstage during the ABS-CBN Christmas Special at the Araneta Coliseum in December 2023.
The reported backstage meeting was described as cordial, with Daniel allegedly initiating the dialogue. This encounter left fans speculating whether the former couple was mending their relationship.
Daniel and Kathryn, one of the most celebrated love teams in Philippine showbiz, confirmed their breakup on November 30, 2023, after an 11-year relationship. The announcement followed months of rumors about their relationship being on the rocks, which began circulating as early as 2022 during promotions for their hit series ‘2 Good 2 Be True’.
At the time, their differing opinions on loyalty during a press conference further fueled breakup speculation, though both remained professional during public appearances.
Neither Daniel nor Kathryn has addressed the rumors about Daniel’s recent actions, choosing instead to stay silent. Fans, however, are eager for updates, with many holding out hope for a reconciliation between the two.
