Actor Paolo Contis opened up about his fear of his daughters being courted by someone who shares the same mistakes he made in the past.
In an interview on a podcast hosted by Tuesday Vargas and Buboy Villar, Paolo shared his thoughts on his daughters’ future relationships. He has two daughters, Xalene and Xonia, with his estranged partner Lian Paz and one daughter, Summer Ayana, with his ex-partner LJ Reyes.
“It’s going to happen anyway. Wala ka magagawa,” Paolo said when asked how he feels about his children eventually dating.
He admitted that one of his biggest worries is that his daughters might encounter someone like his younger self.
“‘Yun ang number one na ikinakatakot ko. Ever since, the goal is to be a guy na gusto mong manligaw sa mga anak mo ay tulad mo. Sadly, you make mistakes. Now, masasabi ko na ‘yung Paolo mga 10 or 15 years ago, naku, Diyos ko Lord. Sasampalin ko talaga ‘yan,” he said candidly.
Paolo also revealed that he is working on changing for the better as he approaches his 40s.
“It’s an ongoing process. I cannot say that [na nagbago na ako] pero nandu’n ka na sa process ng pagbabago. Alam mo ang mga mali mo and tinatama mo na ang mali. I’m 40, and kailangan na ‘yun,” the actor shared.
Paolo’s most recent relationship with actress Yen Santos has been surrounded by speculation, including rumors that she is pregnant.
