BINI’s Aiah Arceta has dismissed rumors of a romantic connection with Kapuso actor Jak Roberto after photos of them together in Cebu went viral.
The speculation arose following reports of Jak’s alleged breakup with actress Barbie Forteza.
In an appearance on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’, Aiah addressed the issue, explaining that she had only met Jak Roberto for the first time during the trip.
“Ah, yes, that photo, so that was the very first time na I met him and I didn’t even know na he would be there kasi my friend, may kasama po ako diyan, si Gab po, […] they’re friends,” she shared.
Aiah further clarified that they did not spend time together after the encounter.
“It was the very first time I met him and we didn’t get to hang out after,” she added.
Aiah acknowledged that the photos she posted with Jak and other friends led to misunderstandings, with many assuming a deeper connection between them.
“Because of the photo, they thought him and I are something or nag-uusap po kami, but no po,” she clarified.
The timing of the photo’s release coincided with rumors that Jak had moved on from Barbie Forteza, leading some netizens to speculate that he was already dating again. However, Aiah emphasized that these assumptions are untrue.
During BINI’s contract renewal with ABS-CBN on February 4, Aiah took the opportunity to reflect on the criticism she and her group have faced. She expressed gratitude, even to those who have criticized her.
“Thank you, kasi sa mga bashers, ang sakit n’yo magsalita pero thank you pa rin,” she said.
Aiah also highlighted how the negativity she encountered has given her a stronger sense of purpose.
“Because of it, parang mas lalo ako tuloy nagkaka-purpose kung bakit it’s always nice to be loving kasi ang daming hate, ang daming negativity,” she explained.
