Kapamilya action star Coco Martin is set to embark on a new chapter for ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ as the series enters its third year on air, featuring a star-studded cast expansion that promises more intense action and drama.
During the ‘Tatak BQ: The FPJ’s Batang Quiapo 2nd Anniversary Special’, Coco expressed his excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to work alongside veteran actors and rising stars, making the series even more dynamic.
The series is welcoming big names such as Andrea Brillantes, Jake Cuenca, Angel Aquino, Albert Martinez, Chanda Romero, Celia Rodriguez, and many more.
“Overwhelming para sa akin. Kasi imagine niyo, mapasama kaming lahat—mga baguhang artista, tapos makasama namin ang mga veteran actors na mga icon na sa industry. Napakasarap kasi hindi lahat ng artista ay nabibigyan ng ganitong klaseng pagkakataon,” Coco shared.
For Andrea Brillantes, being part of ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ is both an exciting and daunting challenge, especially since this marks her first action role.
“I am feeling a bit pressured, pero I am more grateful than I am pressured. I will use that pressure as motivation to be better kasi iba ang experience dito sa ‘BQ.’ Matagal ko nang nire-request na gusto ko mag-action,” she revealed.
Actor Jake Cuenca, who previously worked with Coco on successful Kapamilya projects, is thrilled to reunite with him.
“I’m really grateful to be part of this big and successful project. I’m just excited to experience the best version of Coco Martin,” Jake stated.
Showbiz icons Chanda Romero and Celia Rodriguez also shared their excitement about joining ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’.
“I’ve heard so much about Coco, and I know of the success of ‘Batang Quiapo.’ I wanted to see this guy in action and experience it first-hand,” Chanda said.
Meanwhile, Celia described her inclusion in the show as an honor, adding, “I’m so proud that I’m here. Everybody wants to be in this cast.”
Albert Martinez and Angel Aquino, who played significant roles in ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’, are also set to make a powerful comeback in ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’.
Both actors expressed their excitement about working with Coco once again and bringing compelling new characters into the story.
