Last week, Kapamilya romantic-comedy teleserye ‘How To Spot A Red Flag (HTSARF)’ made its primetime debut. So, how did it fare in the ratings game?
According to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People survey, HTSARF had a decent start despite its late-night timeslot.
On Monday, January 27, the DonBelle-led teleserye premiered with a 3.2 percent rating, placing 16th on the overall ratings chart. Meanwhile, its direct competitor, ‘My Ilonggo Girl (MIG),’ more than doubled that number with 6.4 percent, securing the 9th spot.
The following day, Tuesday, January 28, HTSARF gained momentum, climbing two spots to 14th place with an improved rating of 4.2 percent. MIG also saw an increase, reaching 6.6 percent while maintaining its 9th position.
However, on Wednesday, January 29, HTSARF experienced a slight dip, dropping three places to 17th with its rating slipping to 3.4 percent. In contrast, MIG continued its upward trend in ratings, scoring 7.0 percent, though it moved down two spots to 11th.
By Thursday, January 30, HTSARF remained steady at 3.4 percent but managed to climb one spot to 16th. MIG mirrored this movement, rising to 10th place despite a slight dip in ratings to 6.7 percent.
At the end of its first week, on Friday, January 31, HTSARF improved to 4.0 percent, landing at 13th place on the overall leaderboard. However, its Friday rival Amazing Earth outperformed it with a 4.8 percent rating.
While HTSARF’s pilot week ratings were not as strong as DonBelle’s previous teleserye ‘Can’t Buy Me Love,’ which debuted at 8.0 percent in its original 8:45 PM slot and 4.7 percent after moving to the same 9:30 PM timeslot, this may be due to the show not airing on Kapamilya Online Live YouTube channel—a platform that has proven to be a major driver of viewership and buzz for Kapamilya programs.
