TV host Bianca Gonzalez took a trip down memory lane as she revisited the ABS-CBN compound, reflecting on her career beginnings amid the network’s recent property sale announcement.
Gonzalez, who has been with ABS-CBN for two decades, shared a heartfelt social media post recalling her first job at the network in 2003 as a brainstormer and trainee writer before transitioning to hosting the following year.
“I started hosting in 2004 but my first job in ABS-CBN was in 2003, as a brainstormer and trainee writer. Sooo many memories in this space!!!” Gonzalez wrote.
She added, “20-year-old Bianca had no idea what was in store for her .”

Gonzalez began her hosting career with ‘GameChannel Extreme’ alongside Iya Villania, Chase Tinio, and Aaron Mempin. She later co-hosted ‘Review Night’ with Ryan Agoncillo on Cinema One and became a tadjock for Studio 23’s ‘Wazzup Wazzup’.
Her career skyrocketed when she became part of ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ (PBB) in 2005, first as a housemate in its Celebrity Edition, before eventually taking on the role of a long-time host of the reality show.
ABS-CBN is set to relaunch ‘Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition’ on March 9, making history as the first ‘PBB’ season to feature both Kapuso and Kapamilya stars.
The upcoming edition will also mark a significant milestone as ‘PBB’ will air on GMA Network for the first time—a major shift for a show that has been a staple of ABS-CBN for nearly two decades.
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN recently confirmed that it has sold 30,000 square meters of its 44,027.3-sqm property in Quezon City to Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) for ₱6.24 billion.
The sale is part of the network’s strategy to manage its ₱16.32 billion debt, which has accumulated since the denial of its legislative franchise in 2020.
Despite efforts to cut costs—including workforce reductions, asset sales, and digital content partnerships with streaming platforms like Netflix and Viu—the company continues to face financial challenges. However, it has managed to reduce its net losses by 22% between January and September 2024.
As ABS-CBN continues to navigate its financial struggles, its impact on Philippine entertainment remains undeniable. For Bianca Gonzalez, who has spent 20 years with the network, ABS-CBN’s legacy and the opportunities it has provided her are something she will always cherish.
