Veteran TV host Bianca Gonzalez has revealed that she once auditioned for a hosting role at GMA Network, long before her current collaboration with the Kapuso station for ‘Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition Collab’.
During her guest appearance on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’ on March 4, Gonzalez shared that this is actually her fourth time inside the GMA Network headquarters.
“Mga dalawang dekada na ang nakalipas, nag-audition ako ng show dito, Tito Boy. Mga lumang tao lang ang makakaalala nito—3R,” Gonzalez recounted.
She was referring to ‘3R’, a lifestyle and documentary-style show that aired on QTV, GMA’s former sister network. While she auditioned for the program, she ultimately was not selected, and the hosting roles went to Reema Chanco, Bettina Carlos, and Bianca King.
Aside from her past audition, Gonzalez also recalled the three other times she had visited the network: Last year, she was at GMA to interview Dennis Trillo for his Metro Manila Film Festival entry, ‘Green Bones’.
Recently, she and her fellow ‘PBB Celebrity Collab’ hosts participated in an episode of Family Feud, which is set to air this Friday.
Her most recent visit was for her guest appearance on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’.
The partnership between ABS-CBN and GMA Network for ‘Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab’ was first announced on January 27, with Gabbi Garcia joining as a Kapuso host on February 9, followed by Mavy Legaspi.
Gonzalez shared that after the recent media conference introducing the new hosts, she made sure to bond with Garcia and Legaspi to welcome them into Kuya’s family.
“Nag-pizza lang kami, uminom, nagkuwentuhan, chikahan, para makapag-bonding din si Gabbi at si Mavy du’n sa aming creative team, du’n sa mga staff. Masaya, masaya,” she shared.
