Gymnast Carlos Yulo’s girlfriend, Chloe San Jose, has stirred curiosity online after leaving a cryptic comment on social media, seemingly taking a swipe at a certain “mother figure”.
On March 3, 2025, social media personality Senyora reposted a viral post about Raquel Pempengco, the mother of singer Jake Zyrus. The post focused on Pempengco’s latest remarks regarding her son’s book, I Am Jake, which detailed his past experiences, including allegations that he suffered abuse from an uncle—claims that his mother allegedly dismissed.
In response, Raquel took to Facebook and wrote: “Peace of mind pa rin ang pipiliin ko kesa patulan ko ang mga walang kwentang tao at mga walang utang na loob… sila na magdadala ng lahat. The truth still prevails.”
Senyora reacted by posting: “May ganyan palang nanay.”
What caught netizens’ attention was Chloe San Jose’s comment under Senyora’s post: “Meron pa akong kakilala, ganyang-ganyan din, Senyora…”
This immediately fueled speculation, with Senyora responding: “Chloe, yan ka na naman! Kaya gigil sayo mga matatanda e.”
While Chloe did not specify whom she was referring to, netizens quickly connected her statement to her previous feuds with Carlos Yulo’s mother, Angelica Yulo, and comedienne Aiai delas Alas.
San Jose has been involved in public disputes with both Carlos Yulo’s mother, Angelica, and Aiai delas Alas.
Her conflict with Angelica Yulo stemmed from accusations that she was negatively influencing Carlos and distancing him from his family. In response, Chloe released screenshots of messages allegedly sent by Angelica, where she was painted in a negative light.
Chloe previously disclosed that her own mother attempted to mediate and reconcile things with Angelica, but the issues remained unresolved.
“A few months before this GC was made, my mum from Australia flew back to Manila and talked to her in person and asked her to stop posting about me. A talk from a mother to another mother. However, she still kept going and defaming me on her posts,” Chloe wrote in a September 2024 Facebook post.
Meanwhile, Chloe also had a high-profile exchange with Aiai delas Alas after the latter offered unsolicited advice during a livestream in September 2024.
Ai-Ai publicly advised Chloe to show more respect to Carlos’ mother, saying: “Kung wala yung nanay niya, wala kang darling ngayon. Kaya, girl, huwag mo siyang aawayin. Tsaka hindi ka pa asawa, girl. Girlfriend ka pa lang.”
Months later, when Ai-Ai confirmed her separation from husband Gerald Sibayan, Chloe seemingly threw shade by sharing an article about Ai-Ai’s past remarks and captioning it: “Back to you, mamang. Hindi para pagtawanan ang sitwasyon mo, pero ang ginagawa mo sa iba ay babalik din sa’yo ng 10x — it’s just the universe’s law.”
While Chloe did not specify whom she was referring to in her latest comment, netizens speculated that she was either revisiting past tensions with Angelica Yulo or hinting at another ongoing issue. As of now, neither Raquel Pempengco, Angelica Yulo, nor Ai-Ai delas Alas have responded to Chloe’s remark.
