There’s no denying the love and support Kim Chiu receives from her older sister, Kam Chiu, who went the extra mile by organizing a special block screening of ‘My Love Will Make You Disappear’ — Kim’s newest romantic-comedy film with Paulo Avelino.

The screening, held last Saturday night at UP Town Center, gathered friends, fans, and members of the entertainment press, all eager to witness the much-talked-about chemistry between Kim and Paulo. And true enough, the crowd was not disappointed.
“Para kaming mga high school na kinikilig,” shared one attendee from the press, echoing the sentiments of many viewers who were swept away by the intense romantic moments in the film.
Fans have raved about the film’s numerous kissing scenes — something even Kim’s celebrity BFFs Angelica Panganiban and Bela Padilla couldn’t help but react to online. Add to that a surprise bed scene, and it’s no wonder audiences are buzzing.
In one playful moment during the film, the production even included Kim’s candid post-kiss remark: “Cut na ba kami, Direk?”
To which, after hearing no immediate response, she jokingly followed up with: “Baka maging kami na pagkatapos nito,” prompting laughter in cinemas.
When asked about Kim’s many kissing scenes in the film, Ate Kam remained supportive: “Okay lang. Siyempre, hindi tayo magugulat kasi may mga milestones naman ang career ng isang artista. So, it’s about time na rin for mature roles. And hindi na ‘yung princess na pa-tweetums na pa-cute-cute.”

Of course, the press couldn’t resist asking the golden question: is she in favor of Paulo if he and Kim are indeed dating?
“Siyempre, oo naman,” she responded without hesitation. “Me, as ate, I don’t want to be too protective. We have our own lives. So kung saan siya masaya — and I know she’s happy — happy na rin kami.”
When asked if Kim has directly told her how happy she is, Ate Kam simply smiled: “Hindi na kailangan. Makikita mo talaga sa mata niya. Ramdam talaga. Inspired.”
She added that she doesn’t meddle in Kim’s love life, knowing full well that her sister is at an age where she can make her own choices.
While Kim and Paulo, collectively known as KimPau, have yet to officially confirm the real score between them, many fans and observers believe there’s no need for words — their on-screen and off-screen actions say it all.
