For the first time, GMA Music and Star Music are joining forces for a music release, and Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee is at the forefront of this milestone collaboration.
The beauty queen-turned-actress announced that she is set to release her single ‘Reyna’ on March 7, making her the face of this unprecedented partnership between two of the country’s top music labels.
Michelle shared the exciting news during the ‘Chika Minute’ segment of ’24 Oras’ on Friday, where she served as the guest host.
“This is it, mga Kapuso! I am deeply honored to share my music sa kauna-unahang collaboration ng Star Music and GMA Music. Maraming maraming salamat po sa aking Sparkle family for this opportunity,” she said.
Shortly after the announcement, Star Music, Sparkle GMA Artist Center, and Michelle Dee posted a teaser on social media. The Instagram post featured Michelle in a striking black outfit, silver earrings, and a sleek updo, holding a white snake—a powerful visual symbolizing the bold and regal theme of her upcoming song.
Fans eagerly anticipating the song release were quick to ask about a potential music video. Michelle confirmed that a music video is in the works, further heightening the excitement.
“I can’t wait for everyone to hear what we’ve been working on!” she wrote in the comments.
When asked about a music video, she replied: “Oo naman!”
While Michelle Dee is known for her achievements in the pageant world, she has been making significant strides in the entertainment industry. She currently stars as Apong Ayo, the protector of the ugtaw, in GMA Network’s action-fantasy series ‘Lolong: Bayani ng Bayan’, which airs weeknights at 8 p.m. after ’24 Oras’ on GMA Prime.
