The National Basketball Association (NBA) and Daily Fantasy, the first officially licensed fantasy sports platform in the Philippines that is operated by local gaming company RAC Phil Corp., today announced a multiyear collaboration that makes Daily Fantasy the league’s official daily fantasy partner in the Philippines.
Daily fantasy sports are games conducted over short-term periods, which offer participants opportunities to build virtual teams consisting of real players and earn points based on their actual performance in real competitions. Through the collaboration, Daily Fantasy will develop fantasy sports contests around NBA games, allowing users in the Philippines to draft daily a new fantasy NBA team under a salary cap and make real-time strategic decisions based on NBA players’ on-court performances.
Additionally, Daily Fantasy will utilize official NBA data, offer in-depth statistical insights and interactive content, and conduct promotions to give fans the chance to win special prizes. Daily Fantasy will also be integrated into the NBA’s localized digital platforms in the country.
The announcement was made today at a launch event in Taguig by RAC Phil Corp. Marketing Director Jennifer Bautista, Daily Fantasy Marketing Manager Colwin Tanhehco and NBA Head of International Gaming and Data Distribution, Kuljeet Sindhar.
