The blocky world of Minecraft just got a delicious upgrade.
In a creative collaboration with ‘A Minecraft Movie’, McDonald’s Philippines has unveiled its limited-time Minecraft-themed Happy Meals, exclusive blind box toys, and two special movie-inspired meals—bringing fans of all ages into a whole new level of food and fun.
Launched in a one-day Minecraft-inspired booth experience at the Glorietta Activity Center on April 5, McDonald’s introduced its exciting Minecraft Movie partnership with a fully immersive booth, photo-worthy moments, and activity zones.
Customers who purchased a Minecraft Meal worth P299—which included 6-pc Chicken McNuggets, fries, soda, and a choice between a toy or blind box—were treated to an interactive experience and a chance to win exclusive collectibles.
As part of the collab, McDonald’s introduced two limited-edition meals:
- Nether Flame Chicken McNuggets Meal – A 6-piece McNuggets set paired with Nether Flame Sauce, a spicy, garlic-infused creation inspired by the fiery Nether dimension in the movie.
- Golden Apple Sundae Cheeseburger Meal – A sweet apple-flavored sundae that pays homage to the iconic Enchanted Golden Apple, bundled with fries and a cheeseburger.
Both meals include blind box toys featuring six collectible “blockified” McDonald’s items and characters. Each comes with a matching card that includes a scannable code to unlock exclusive in-game Minecraft skins—making the entire meal experience interactive and immersive.
In addition to the themed meals, McDonald’s also launched a new batch of Minecraft Happy Meals with exclusive characters from both the movie and the game’s block universe. Packaged in specially designed Minecraft boxes, these Happy Meals feature mystery toys, also bundled with codes to access a digital adventure game based on A Minecraft Movie.
Toy collectors at the Glorietta event eagerly traded blind boxes, revealing a hack for identifying toys through number codes printed on the packaging—though McDonald’s staff quickly masked these to preserve the surprise.
“McDonald’s has always found its way into Minecraft builds through fans’ creativity,” said Ada Lazaro, McDonald’s Philippines Marketing Director. “But this collaboration with the movie has truly brought the universe to life. We’re proud to be part of a global fandom and offer experiences for fans of every age.”
Social media has since exploded with reactions.
The McDonald’s x A Minecraft Movie Happy Meals and meals are available nationwide through Dine-In, Take-Out, Drive-Thru, McDelivery, and third-party apps—but only while supplies last.
