Actress-turned-surfer Andi Eigenmann proudly finished 6th place in the Queen of the Point longboarding competition held over the weekend at the world-famous Cloud 9 surf break in Siargao.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, May 6, Andi shared her joy and excitement with a set of photos capturing her wave-riding moments and the camaraderie she experienced in the all-women’s surf event.
“Stooooked! Made my first ever finals at Queen of the Point — Cloud 9! Placed 6th! Yiiw! Grateful beyond words to share the lineup with such powerful, inspiring women both from Siargao and from other parts of the world,” she wrote in her caption.
She described the competition as one that celebrates “sisterhood, strength, and the beauty of women’s surfing,” and expressed appreciation for being part of the lineup.

Andi also gave a heartfelt shoutout to her longtime partner, professional surfer Philmar Alipayo, and their daughter Lilo for their unwavering support throughout the event.
“Another special thanks to [@chepoxz] for lending his surfer hat to me and Lilo for this weekend,” she added, noting that Philmar had played multiple roles during the weekend—as driver, surf coach, photographer, stuff carrier, feeder, water guy, and cheerleader.
More than the competition, Andi also delivered a firm message on surf etiquette and respect for local surfers, which she posted via Instagram Stories.
“Respect is earned. Especially in the water. You don’t just demand respect from locals when you don’t even respect them at all,” she wrote.
Without naming anyone, Andi’s message resonated with followers, many of whom felt she was speaking up for the tight-knit Siargao surf community. Her words were a reminder to visiting surfers and newcomers about upholding the values of humility and mutual respect in the water—especially in a place as sacred to locals as Siargao.
