For the first time, Coco Martin and Julia Montes will fly to Kenya this June for ‘Kapamilya Live in Kenya,’ a fan event celebrating the growing African viewership of ABS-CBN’s iconic teleseryes.
The milestone event will take place on June 28 at the Nairobi Cinema, marking ABS-CBN Studios’ first official fan meet in the continent.

Their visit is in response to the overwhelming support from African audiences for hit dramas such as ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,’ known internationally as ‘Gangs of Manila.’ The series is currently airing in over 40 African countries and continues the legacy of successful Kapamilya dramas like ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ (titled ‘Brothers’ in Africa) and Julia’s own ‘Doble Kara’ (‘Double Kara’).
“Isa pa ‘yon sa nakaka-proud bilang Pilipino kasi kilala tayo bilang magaling gumawa ng teleserye. Ang sarap maging parte ng ganyang milestone ng isang company,” said Julia in an interview during her business launch on May 24.
“Imagine, ibang country na-appreciate. Dapat tayong Pilipino, mahalin pa natin kultura natin. ‘Wag natin bitawan, ‘wag natin pabayaan kasi ‘yon (ang) minamahal ng iba sa atin,” she added.
Excited for the upcoming Kenya fan meet, Julia said the event is a heartfelt way of thanking supporters who have embraced Filipino culture through TV dramas.
“Nakaka-excite. Pasasalamat na rin iyon sa kanila kasi from the beginning, ‘yung iba ay tumangkilik na.”
Outside of acting, Julia also marked a new chapter in her career with the launch of her first business — a partnership with Swiss Proli Naturals for LeanQuick Gummies, a plant-based wellness product designed for weight management, heart health, and fatty liver support.

The launch event took place at Manila House, Bonifacio Global City, where Julia was introduced as a co-owner and brand ambassador of the company. The venture was made possible in collaboration with chemist, cancer survivor, and wellness advocate Pinky Tobiano, and her daughters Pianne and Karel Sinfuego.
“Fame is not permanent. I need something sustainable to leave a legacy to my name,” Julia shared.

Julia, a self-confessed foodie, admitted that her wellness journey hasn’t always been easy.
“My love language is cooking for my family, for my loved ones. So, talagang mahirap i-balance ang fitness journey. But now, I’m just proud to be part of Swiss Proli Naturals — promoting an easy and happy wellness journey.”
The gummies offer a simple and accessible way to stay healthy:
“You can just take two gummies and you’re good to go. No need for water. Anytime, anywhere.”
Pinky Tobiano shared that the company was born out of a mission to help others live healthier lives — especially those who find traditional routines overwhelming. As a cancer survivor, she emphasized how important it is to make wellness feel joyful and manageable.
