‘Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11’ Big Winner Fyang Smith is winning hearts not just inside the house, but outside of it, too.
After her absence from recent promotional materials sparked the viral “Nasaan si Fyang?” meme, the rising star clarified the situation and expressed full support for her love team partner, JM Ibarra, in his upcoming solo film ‘Child No. 82’.
Despite being under the weather on April 12, Fyang showed up for her fans at the Dear Face meet-and-greet held at the Podium Mall in Mandaluyong, where she was officially launched as the beauty brand’s newest endorser. Dressed in a jacket over her event gown, Fyang made it a point to attend and connect with her supporters.
With JM Ibarra now venturing into solo acting, Fyang took the moment to ask her fans for understanding: “Wag niyo na akong hanapin sa movie niya kasi solo niya ‘yun.”
She emphasized that this was JM’s time to shine, proudly vouching for his acting skills.
“Hayaan natin siyang mag-shine kasi alam nating lahat na kaya niya ‘yun kasi magaling siya,” Fyang said.
She also made a heartfelt promise to support JM’s movie all the way, inviting fans to join her at its premiere.
“Sama-sama tayo sa premiere night ng Child No. 82. Wag kayong mawawala lahat doon dahil pinapangako ko sa inyo, magaling ‘tong tao na ‘to.”
The film ‘Child No. 82’, directed by Tim Rone Villanueva, marks JM’s first lead role in a movie. In an Instagram post dated April 13, JM proudly announced the project with a caption that read, “Ma, may pelikula na ako.” The film will feature a powerhouse cast including Rochelle Pangilinan, Vance Larena, Irma Adlawan, Iyah Mina, and Vhong Navarro, with fellow PBB Gen 11 housemates Kai Montinola and Dylan Yturralde showing support as well.
The JMFyang love team continues to gain traction, most recently making a joint appearance at the ABS-CBN Ball 2025. While the two may be taking individual paths in some projects, their mutual support and growing fanbase prove they’re far from fading out of the spotlight.
