Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards were officially crowned Box Office Queen and King of 2024 by the Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines (CEAP), honoring the record-breaking success of their film ‘Hello, Love, Again’.
The announcement was made public via a joint Instagram post by GMA Pictures and Star Cinema on Tuesday, May 6. Richards was photographed receiving his trophy at the awarding ceremony, while Bernardo was not present during the event.
“HANGGANG SA HULI, THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOVE! Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards were awarded 2024 Box Office King and Queen by the Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines (CEAP),” the post read.

CEAP also recognized ‘Hello, Love, Again’ as the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time, having earned an astounding ₱1.6 billion at the box office. The film surpassed the earnings of its 2019 predecessor, ‘Hello, Love, Goodbye’, to which it serves as a direct sequel.
Set five years after the original, ‘Hello, Love, Again’ follows the renewed love story of Joy (Bernardo), now pursuing her nursing career in the United States, and Ethan (Richards), whom she unexpectedly reunites with in Canada.
Meanwhile, Alden Richards is set to return to TV screens soon as the host of GMA Network’s upcoming dance competition show ‘Stars on the Floor’, premiering this June.
