Kapamilya star Kim Chiu took to Instagram with a heartfelt message of gratitude following the box-office success of her romantic comedy film ‘My Love Will Make You Disappear’, which she headlined alongside Paulo Avelino.

“A thank you, long overdue,” Kim began in her caption, sharing behind-the-scenes snaps and reflecting on what she called a “beautiful journey” with the film. “This movie came a long way—with its fair share of bumps and unexpected turns—but through it all, I’m deeply thankful for the opportunity given to me,” she wrote.
The film, which grossed ₱173 million globally as of May 7 according to Star Cinema, is the highest-grossing Filipino film of 2025 to date.
“In a time where so much content is just a click away, being trusted to lead a film made for the big screen feels incredibly special,” Kim noted, extending her thanks to Star Cinema and the entire production team led by director Chad Vidanes.
Chiu also expressed appreciation for her co-stars and fans, giving shout-outs to the promo team, writers, and especially her leading man Paulo Avelino. “To everyone who organized block screenings here in PH and across the world, to the Kimmers, Kimsters, Paus, and KimPaus—your love, effort, and endless support never fail to lift us up,” she added.
The actress was also emotional in recalling the overwhelming support during their mall tours and fan events. “My glass almost emptied, but it never did—because your love and support fueled me all the way and for that I am grateful,” she said.

Kim ended her message with words from her character: “This is Sari, saying maraming maraming salamat sa tiwala at pagmamahal. Forever grateful.”
‘My Love Will Make You Disappear’ marks Kim and Paulo’s first big screen team-up following their back-to-back TV dramas ‘Linlang’ (2023) and the local adaptation of ‘What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?’ (2024). The film also stars Wilma Doesnt, Nico Antonio, Martin Escudero, Lovely Abella, Benj Manalo, and Karina Bautista, with Melai Cantiveros-Francisco lending her voice as Sari’s pet Cookie.

Following the film’s success, Kim and Paulo expressed openness to more collaborations, with new offers reportedly on the table. A victory and thanksgiving dinner was recently held for the ‘MLWMYD’ cast and crew, which also coincided with birthday celebrations for Paulo and ABS-CBN COO Cory Vidanes.
