While many celebrity parents are now embracing the trend of social media “face reveals” for their little ones, Maja Salvador and husband Rambo Nuñez are taking a different path — one rooted in privacy, intention, and respect for their child’s future autonomy.
At the recent media launch of Majeskin, Maja’s new body care brand developed in partnership with Beautéderm founder Rhea Anicoche-Tan, the actress-entrepreneur opened up about why she and Rambo have chosen to keep their daughter, Baby Maria, away from public view.
“Gusto kong ibigay sa kanya ‘yung freedom kung papaano niya gustong makilala siya ng tao. Gusto ba niya?” Maja explained candidly. “Kesa i-post ko siya, but then paglaki niya ayaw pala niya… baka gusto niya tahimik lang ang buhay niya.”
Their firm stance comes after a misleading photo circulated online, mistakenly identifying Rambo’s niece as Baby Maria. Maja clarified it wasn’t their daughter — and reiterated their family’s intent to maintain privacy, even when approached by brands interested in casting Maria in campaigns.
“Minsan kasi may iba na matutuwa at sa sobrang tuwa, makukurot pa ‘yung bata. Gusto namin na ma-maintain ‘yung privacy niya. Na kahit nasa mall o playground siya, hindi siya kilala ng mga tao,” she said.
Aside from parenthood, the couple is also nurturing another “baby” — Majeskin, their co-owned body care line under the Reigning Majesty Corporation, a sister company of Beautéderm. The brand was five years in the making and was launched on May 23, 2025, at Incanta Cave in Quezon City.
The product line includes:
- Calming Series (Chamomile Scent): Body Wash, Body Scrub, Body Lotion
- Nourishing Series (Milk Scent): Body Wash, Body Scrub, Body Lotion
Each formula is plant-based and features hyaluronic acid, collagen, niacinamide, goat milk extract, aloe vera, and botanical ingredients — making it safe even for new moms like Maja.
“Very safe sa mga bata. Kaya kahit kaliligo mo lang, ‘di ka matatakot na lapitan ka ng anak mo,” she noted.
Maja also shared that the launch was scheduled early in the day so she could return home in time to tuck her daughter in for a nap — underscoring how motherhood remains her top priority.
“In-adjust ko talaga ang schedule para makauwi ako nang maaga. Gusto ko pa ring mapatulog ‘yung baby namin.”
At 37, Maja says she and Rambo are considering having a second child soon — naturally, as she clarified that she hasn’t opted for egg freezing. Rambo shares the same hope:
“Para kung may school event, kahit magkasabay pa, makakapunta kami ni Maja. Tig-isa kami ng pupuntahan,” he said with a smile.
As for Majeskin, this is just the beginning. The couple plans to expand the brand beyond body wash and scrubs, with international distribution already underway thanks to Ms. Rhea’s industry experience.
“When queens unite, they create something majestic,” Rhea said. “Maja embodies everything a queen should be — authentic, determined, passionate, and creative.”
With glowing skin and clear boundaries, Maja Salvador is proving that true beauty goes beyond the surface — and beyond social media.
