I didn’t expect a tablet to become my favorite summer companion—but the TechLife Pad Plus 12″ surprised me.
Whether I’m catching up on shows, answering emails on the go, or scrolling through social feeds with a smoothie in hand, this device has made itself indispensable to my everyday life.
Big Screen, Bigger Vibes. At the heart of the TechLife Pad Plus is its nearly 12-inch WUXGA+ display, which is vibrant, crisp, and responsive. Whether you’re watching Netflix by the pool or reading an e-book in bed, the screen delivers a great visual experience. At 450 nits, it’s bright enough for shaded outdoor use, and the 180Hz touch sampling rate ensures smooth navigation and interactions—even for casual mobile gaming or stylus sketching.
Audio. For a budget-friendly device, the quad speakers with Dolby Atmos are impressive. Whether you’re playing music, watching content, or joining an online class, the sound fills the room without distortion. I found myself skipping the Bluetooth speaker more often than not—this tablet handles entertainment all on its own.
Performance. Powered by a MediaTek Helio G91 octa-core processor and supported by 8GB RAM (expandable to 16GB with virtual memory), the TechLife Pad Plus handles multitasking without a hitch. Browsing, video calls, running Google Docs, and even light video editing on CapCut all felt smooth. I was able to keep multiple apps open and switch between them seamlessly—especially with the useful Split Screen feature.
Photography. The 13MP rear and 8MP front cameras aren’t meant to replace your phone’s shooters, but they’re surprisingly handy. The rear cam did a decent job capturing food pics and scanning documents during workcations. The front cam handles video calls well enough, especially in well-lit settings—plus there’s built-in beauty mode for those off-makeup days.
Built to Travel. Despite its large display, the tablet is just 7.6mm thin and very lightweight—ideal for slipping into a tote or backpack. The design is minimal yet premium-feeling, especially with the aluminum finish. Mine’s in Moonlight Silver, but it’s also available in Sky Blue and Storm Grey if you want a splash of color.
Battery. The 8000mAh battery is another standout. I got through an entire beach day—streaming, reading, snapping pics—without once reaching for a charger. Even after 4 episodes of my current Netflix binge, the battery was still going strong. It charges via 18W fast charging (around 3 hours for a full top-up), and even supports 5W reverse charging in a pinch.
256GB of storage (expandable up to 2TB) means I never have to worry about running out of space for my shows, playlists, or travel snaps. The tablet also supports LTE connectivity and dual SIM, which is perfect for trips or remote work setups where WiFi isn’t guaranteed. Bonus: you can share mobile data with up to 10 devices.
The only thing missing? A fingerprint scanner. It has face unlock and PIN/password options, but biometric security would’ve been a welcome addition—especially for those of us constantly on the move.
Tech Jungle‘s Verdict. At just ₱9,999—and even lower during online promos—the TechLife Pad Plus 12″ is a solid all-around performer. It’s ideal for students, content creators, or anyone needing a lightweight media and productivity device that doesn’t break the bank.
If you’re looking for a do-it-all tablet that balances form, function, and affordability, this might just be your next favorite gadget.
