This Father’s Day, Araneta City pays tribute to all father figures by honoring their stories, sacrifices, and strength. From June 14 to 15, the City of Firsts brings us to DADDYVERSE, where we celebrate all dads with an out-of-this-world array of fun, entertaining, and informative activities. From engaging talks, pet events, and fun runs, there’s something great waiting for every dad!
“This Father’s Day, we’re honoring dads for the invaluable role they play in shaping families and communities. As we celebrate their special day, we at the City of Firsts would like to show how much we appreciate them and their contribution to our lives,” Marjorie Go, Vice President for Marketing of Araneta City said.
The event highlight is the Guiding Light: Dads Talk, a live forum on June 15 at the Quantum Skyview of Gateway Mall 2. The session features three extraordinary fathers – Celso “JR” Santiago, founder of Dadvocacy; Joel Cruz, the “Lord of Scents” and fragrance magnate behind Aficionado; and Benedict Cua, a content creator – who will share their unique fatherhood journeys that will surely inspire, enlighten, and educate. Aside from the talk, dads can also enjoy a stellar lineup of side activities. The audience can enjoy freebies and amenities like La-Z-Boy product experience, skin check by Diana Stalder, and scent testing at the Aficionado Perfume Bar.
Over at Ali Mall, dads and fur-dads alike can enjoy Dads and Space Pals, a two-day pet service bazaar from June 14 to 15. It includes free anti-rabies shots, microchipping, and grooming courtesy of the QC Veterinary Department and Pooch Park, alongside a pet playground and photobooth. Registration for Araneta City’s PetPals ID program will also be available onsite.
Live music takes over key city spots on June 15 through Dad’s Jam, with busker performances at Palenque, Times Square Food Park, and Manhattan Row, in partnership with The Busking Community PH.
For those looking to sweat it out before the festivities, the aRUNeta Run with Dads kicks off early on June 15, at the Green Gate of the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Dads who register early or purchase official merchandise can get free donuts from Krispy Kreme.
