The tension inside Bahay ni Kuya reached a boiling point as the first-ever face-to-face nomination night of ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition’ aired on June 9, revealing the three Final Duos now at risk of eviction.
After an emotionally charged episode that saw housemates forced to confront each other with open critiques and strategic choices, the duos of Dustin Yu and Bianca de Vera (DusBi), AZ Martinez and River Joseph (AzVer), and Shuvee Etrata and Klarisse de Guzman (ShuKla) emerged as this week’s nominees for potential eviction.
Nomination Results: DusBi: 13 points, AzVer: 7 points, ShuKla: 3 points
The duo of Ralph de Leon and Will Ashley (RaWi) received a single point, while Mika Salamanca and Brent Manalo (MikBrent) and Esnyr Ranollo and Charlie Fleming (CharEs) received no points, making them the only two pairs safe from nominations.
The highest-voted duo, DusBi, drew strong criticism from fellow housemates who felt that the closeness between Dustin and Bianca—initially seen as a sweet “kilig” tandem—has begun to affect their performance and group dynamics.
ShuKla expressed concerns over DusBi’s unresolved conflicts, noting their tension often spills over into group activities. CharEs shared similar thoughts, saying the duo’s misunderstandings created confusion and disrupted the overall energy of the house. RaWi pointed to their lack of focus during key challenges like the Holy Week task.
Even MikBrent observed that DusBi had been withdrawing from group bonding moments. AzVer critiqued Bianca for her past lack of initiative with chores, though they acknowledged her recent improvements. For AzVer, much of the house’s critique centered on AZ Martinez’s emotional volatility.
Brent remarked that AZ sometimes let her emotions dictate her actions. Charlie and RaWi echoed this, citing her tendency to snap even during calm conversations. DusBi added that AZ seemed to struggle with the same recurring emotional issues, raising doubts about her personal growth inside the house.
Meanwhile, the three points cast against ShuKla all came from AzVer. While River shared that his view of Shuvee had evolved for the better, AZ stood firm in her reason, pointing out that Shuvee previously referenced outside-world information, a direct violation of PBB rules.
With only four weeks left before the grand Big Night on July 5, the pressure mounts for the Final 6 Duos. Only four duos will advance to the final stage, meaning this nomination could drastically change the game’s outcome.
