Actress-host Kim Chiu looked back at her humble beginnings and heartfelt journey in the entertainment industry as she celebrated her 19th anniversary in showbiz on June 3.

In an Instagram post showcasing her phoenix-themed pictorial in a striking red Francis Libiran gown, Kim penned a deeply personal message to express her gratitude and reflect on the almost two decades she has spent in front of the spotlight.
“Nineteen years ago, I was just a young dreamer who wanted to be seen on television—no idea where life would take me, no certainty, just faith. Who would’ve thought that one simple dream would turn into a lifelong passion and purpose? It still amazes me,” she began.
The Chinita Princess, who got her big break in 2006 as the first Teen Big Winner of ‘Pinoy Big Brother’, recalled how every step since then has been a part of her purpose and calling.
In her thank you letter, Kim paid tribute to the people who have walked with her throughout her journey—especially her fans.
“To my loving supporters—those who have been with me from the very beginning and those who joined along the way—you are the reason I am still here.
Your unconditional love, your cheers, your patience, your endless support in every project, teleserye, variety show, concert, movie, commercial, and even in the quiet moments—thank you.

There are no perfect words to express how deeply I appreciate each and every one of you.”
Kim also gave thanks to her PBB family, writing: “To my PBB family, thank you for changing my life. You gave me my first step,” as she tagged the show’s social media account and ABS-CBN TV Production head Laurenti Dyogi.
She extended her gratitude to her home network ABS-CBN for their trust, her brand partners, and most of all, to God.
“But most of all – to our Lord God, thank You for the gift of entertainment, the courage to keep going, and the strength to remain grounded. This life, this journey… it’s all because of You.”
In a separate post, Kim described herself as a phoenix who will rise “again and again” no matter what life throws her way—an empowering metaphor for her growth and resilience throughout the years.
Currently, Kim is a regular on ‘It’s Showtime’ and ‘ASAP Natin ‘To’. She recently starred in ‘My Love Will Make You Disappear’ opposite Paulo Avelino, which earned ₱173 million at the box office.
