Filipina beauty queen Krishnah Marie Gravidez ended her Miss World 2025 journey on a high note after securing a spot in the Top 8 during the pageant’s coronation night held Saturday, May 31, at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, India.

Representing the Philippines, Gravidez fell just short of advancing to the Top 4, where continental queens were crowned, but still delivered a proud performance that resonated with her fellow Filipinos back home.
The Continental Winners who advanced to the Top 4 were:
- Martinique – Aurélie Joachim (Americas & Caribbean)
- Ethiopia – Hasset Dereje Admassu (Africa)
- Poland – Maja Klajda (Europe)
- Thailand – Opal Suchata Chuangsri (Asia & Oceania)
Gravidez was one of the last two contenders for the Miss World – Asia and Oceania crown, which ultimately went to Thailand’s Chuangsri. The Thai beauty was later named Miss World 2025, succeeding Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic.
During the final Q&A, Gravidez was asked why she should be the next Miss World Asia and Oceania. She answered:
“A continental winner should have a belief in interconnectedness. Throughout my stay here in Telangana together with my sisters, I’ve known a more meaningful life by discovering wonderful pieces of who they are—such as Indonesia’s problem-solving skills, Nepal’s gentleness, Sri Lanka’s strength, and India’s warmth—and these qualities added depth and value to who I am.”
She added that if she were to be given the title, she would “lead purposefully,” carrying those strengths forward.
Prior to the finals, Gravidez made waves throughout the competition. She was a Top 5 finalist in the Miss Multimedia Challenge, recognizing her digital influence and public engagement, and also impressed during the Top Model segment with a striking “Palawan Peacock-Pheasant” ensemble designed by Rian Fernandez.
For the Talent Competition, she performed ‘How Far I’ll Go’ from ‘Moana’, earning her a spot in the Top 24. She wore a custom Fatima Beltran Couture gown for her performance.
At the 72nd Miss World Opening Ceremony, Gravidez paid homage to Princess Gandingan, a character from the Maranao epic Darangen, in an ethereal ensemble by Simeon Cayetano, blending Filipino tradition with pageant glamour.
Gravidez won Miss World Philippines 2024 last July, representing Baguio City, and previously competed in Miss Universe Philippines 2023, where she landed in the Top 5 and was awarded Miss Charm Philippines 2023—a title she later relinquished before joining the Miss World Philippines pageant.
In a heartfelt message prior to coronation night, Gravidez dedicated her Miss World journey to her countrymen:
“Para sa inyo. Para sa bansa. Para sa lahat ng nangangarap.”
Though she did not bring home the crown, Krishnah Gravidez’s performance continues the Philippines’ proud tradition in the global pageant stage.
Congratulations, Krishnah! You made the country proud.
