Actress and former beauty queen Ruffa Gutierrez has confirmed that she and actor-politician Herbert Bautista are currently not on speaking terms, revealing that their relationship is going through a rough patch.

In an interview on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’ aired June 12, Ruffa opened up about the current state of their romance, which began in 2020 during the filming of ‘The House Arrest of Us’, a series headlined by Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.
“We’re going through a bump right now, and we’re not speaking. So, let’s see if that bump will last or we’ll speak again. I don’t know,” Ruffa candidly shared.
She explained that both she and Herbert have been preoccupied with personal matters. “Well, I have been busy also, and he has other things that he should take care of as well when it comes to personal matters,” she said. “So maybe this is also a good time. It’s been five years since we first met again… so magandang space ‘to para makita natin kung itutuloy ba or ihihinto natin.”
When asked by Boy if she and Herbert ever lived together, Ruffa was firm: “I’ve never lived with a person. Hindi ako naniniwala sa live in.”
She added that maintaining space has always worked in her relationships. “Kaya ‘yung mga relasyon ko nagtatagal kasi may space. Excited kayo to see each other. Kung every day gumigising ka siya katabi mo, parang, ‘Oh my gosh!’”
Ruffa first confirmed her relationship with Herbert in 2023 during an interview with Karen Davila. The two had reconnected while working on the set of the aforementioned series and had quietly maintained a low-key relationship since.
While the actress did not clarify whether a reconciliation is likely, she noted that it’s important for her to be with someone “who is your best friend, soulmate, lifetime partner — someone to grow old with.”
